ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

Open to all artists and artisans living and working in the Margaret River Region from Busselton to Augusta. This includes hobbyists, emerging, mid-career, established and nationally exhibiting artists. You may be asked to provide proof of residence in the City of Busselton or Augusta Margaret River Shire.
Also open to art groups, student groups and art clubs working in the region.
All artists must be present in their studio, arts hub or hosted venue during the event. If your studio is unsuitable for visitors, please contact us to discuss alternative venues.
Artists sharing a studio or participating together must each pay a separate registration fee. Artists may not allow any unregistered artist to display work or share their space.
If your studio is in a commercial venue, the business must become a venue sponsor of the event. Please email art@mrros.com.au for details.
Artists are required to be present and open their studio for at least 12 of the 16 days of the event.
Each event participant must be a member of Margaret River Region Open Studios.

Please note: All artist registrations will be reviewed by MRROS and any that do not to meet the above guidelines will be refunded minus a $50 administration fee.

Artwork Image + Optional Studio Artist Portrait Image

Artists can upload 3 options for the event guide image, plus up to 7 additional artwork images and studio portraits. This is based on artist and visitor feedback.

Each image must be 300dpi, between 2.5MB and 5MB, and formatted as a jpeg file.

Re-name all files to include your name, artwork title, year created, medium and size before uploading e.g., Jane Doe_Wild Seascapes_2018_Oil on canvas_10x10cm.

Please add a photographer credit to the file name if required by the photographer.

(Note: we love to use smiling, welcoming studio portraits to promote MRROS on social media)

The total fee for participating in the Open Studios Event in 2023 is $935 including GST, and made up as follows:

Membership renewal $132
Participation fee $803, includes compulsory Public Liability Insurance
